Epoxy Flooring in Bristol

Bristol and the surrounding corridor towards Filton, Avonmouth and Bradley Stoke has a heavy concentration of aerospace, precision engineering and laboratory work, and that pushes epoxy specifications towards the technical end. Cleanliness, chemical resistance, static control and documented film thicknesses matter more here than raw m² price.

For workshop and assembly floors we normally use epoxy self-levelling at 2–4 mm, which gives a seamless, non-dusting, easily cleaned surface that can be specified with a light anti-slip texture where solvents or oils are handled. Laboratory and electronics areas may need conductive or static-dissipative build-ups with earthing points and measured resistance — those are installed and tested to the manufacturer''s stated resistance range, with the readings issued at handover.

Avonmouth distribution and storage units are a different job again: large areas, tight windows, and a straightforward requirement for a hard-wearing, dust-free, markable floor. Epoxy high build at 0.5–1 mm with resin line marking usually gives the best cost-to-performance balance there.

We survey the substrate before quoting in every case. Ground-bearing slabs near the Avon and in the older Bristol industrial stock can carry higher moisture levels than expected, and an epoxy DPM build-up is far cheaper than a delaminated floor a year later.
