Industrial Flooring in Birmingham

The West Midlands is still a manufacturing region, and Birmingham industrial floors take a specific kind of punishment: hot swarf, cutting oils, coolant, dropped billets, pallet trucks and tracked plant, often on slabs that have been in service for decades.

That combination rules out thin decorative systems. Most of what we install around Birmingham, the Black Country and Coventry is either epoxy self-levelling at 3–4 mm for assembly and machining areas, or polyurethane HF screed where hot fluids, coolant spillage or thermal shock are involved. In oil-contaminated bays we grind or shot-blast back to sound concrete, degrease and, where the contamination is deep, use a tolerant primer rather than pretending a standard epoxy will bond.

Machine bases, pits, gullies and bund areas are treated as part of the floor. Upstands, coving, drainage falls and chemical-resistant detailing around bunds are installed in the same materials as the field area so there is no weak joint at the change of plane.

Work is normally phased bay by bay around production. We can install to marked-out shift boundaries, keep access routes open throughout, and use fast-cure MMA where a bay has to be back under machinery within hours rather than days.
