Mill and older industrial buildings need care. Timber-boarded or thin, patched slabs will not take a rigid thick-section resin without preparation and, in some cases, a new cementitious levelling layer first. We survey the substrate, hammer-test and moisture-test before proposing a build-up, and we will quote for the levelling works separately so you can see exactly what is being paid for.

Food and beverage sites take polyurethane HF screed at 6–9 mm, coved to walls and plinths and finished with a slip-resistant texture appropriate to the wash-down regime. Warehousing takes epoxy high build or self-levelling with aisle marking. Public-facing spaces — gyms, showrooms, retail — generally take decorative flake or matt self-smoothing polyurethane, which is warmer underfoot and less clinical than an industrial epoxy.

North-west weather affects programme more than most clients expect. Cold, damp units slow epoxy and polyurethane cures, so between November and March we either provide temporary heating and dehumidification or specify an MMA system that will cure down to −25°C.
