Warehouse Flooring in Leeds

Warehouse work around Leeds is dominated by two things: scale and uptime. Sites along the M1, M62 and A1(M) run at high pallet throughput, so almost everything we install is phased — a block of racking cleared, prepared, coated and returned to service before the next block starts, often across nights and weekends.

Most Leeds warehouse floors we survey do not need replacing. Power-floated slabs that are dusting, laitance-affected or worn at pick faces and turning circles can usually be diamond ground and coated with an epoxy high build system, which stops the dust generation, seals the surface and gives a floor that sweeps and scrubs cleanly. Where the surface has broken up under wheel loads, localised concrete repairs and joint reinstatement come first — patch-coating over failed joints simply moves the failure a few weeks down the line.

Aisle and pedestrian route marking is designed with the operation, not applied over the top of it. We set out racking lines, pedestrian walkways, hatched exclusion zones, fire points and loading bay markings in resin line marking materials, which last far longer under MHE wheels than tape or paint.

Return-to-service times are stated in the quotation for each coat and each traffic type, so the shift plan can be built around real figures rather than estimates.
